CV Printing
My CV and business cards now print out without distortion or pixellation. However i've changed my mind and decided that a graphic image as a watermark looks a little better so i'll need to modify the CV again and try to incorporate the calibra engine again, or something close to it. Also the green abstract image was too thich with colour and the opacity needs to be increased. The text and logo on the page need to stand out, not the images.

Sealable Bottle
These are the final designs for my second prototype ''Sealable Water Bottle'' The concept is that a water bottle is made entirely out of one material. And prefereably PET, as such it can be fully recycled. The initial design failed, due to the thin seal over the top of the bottle not being able to withstand pressure if the container was shaken. Esoecially if there was a carbonated liquid inside.
This second design should prove more promising, i'm hoping to have a protoype ready in a few months and the patent application for this second design is underway
Printing Issues
When i came to print the cv and business cards i found that they appeared a little pixellated. So i had to re-finish the files and ensure everything was to atleast 300 dpi. The following versions should print accurately. Unfortunately the bmp picture of my calibra engine was too small to be able to scale and fit on the page properly without distortion. Si it had to go, i actually found that i preferred the cv and cards without any pictures as it looks more crisp. As potential empoyers and businesses i will be dealing with are engineering companies.
The green abstract shape was drawn in illustrator, and the logo in 3d'smax. Text written in word and saved as a pdf for editing in photoshop

CV and Business Card Designs
Included below are the finalised new version of my CV and business card. Both have a recurring theme to help bring uniformity to them. And create a form of identity. The Swirl pattern was created in photoshop and the cylinder head watermark was taken from a photograph of my vauxhall calibra engine whislt i was carrying out a rebuild some time in the past.
The logo was created in 3d's max and alternate views can be rendered of the model for other uses in the future. ''Anglia Innovative Designs'' is the name of a company i'm in the process of setting up. This will help add a proffesional identity to he designs i currently have underway. Some pending patents and 2 others are still fresh on the drawing board. This company will be forming part og the holding group (group of companies) that my current employer manages. Potentially there is a source of funding here for projects and research for new designs and new products for the manufacturing industry.
